As the financial year ends Q4 saw Focus Training enjoying a busy three months which began with a contract in February with Vodafone Group designing on-line fraud risk training and delivering an IQ award in Risk Assessment this was delivered to 10 operators and run from the Romanian office in Bucharest. This was followed by an engagement with the US State Department project ICITAP (International Criminal Investigative Training Assistance Program) to deliver Anacapa Intelligence Analysis training to the Algerian Government in Algiers. Security was tight with travel by motor cade to and from work. Then came our first ever contract with Deloitte UK for the delivery of the Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist (ACFS) qualification run from a lovely hotel in Crewe UK, followed by another ACFS course for the local authority body TEICCAF run from sunny Torbay UK. The UNODC (United Nations Office for Drugs and Crime) contacted Focus Training for an urgent delivery, also in Algeria for the security service in country; this was achieved in March despite the lead in time of only 5 weeks. Our final assignment was for our loyal client INTERPOL, who have now been with us for some five years, this engagement was our fourth delivery to Somali Police Officers based in Mogadishu, they are brought out to Nairobi for an investigation skills courses, a humbling experience with news of the loss of one previous student and serious injury to another. As Focus approaches its 20th year in business we send our sincere best wishes to all our clients and hope of peace to come.
