Focus Training Launches Online Courses

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way we all work. While we hope to return to the classroom soon, Focus recognises we need to adapt. As a result, we have re-designed many of our most popular courses for online delivery ensuring our clients can still access top quality training from a trusted provider with over 20 years in the field.

These courses have been designed at three levels so you can choose to take just one module, jump straight to a higher level if you already have the experience, or combine modules together for an end-to-end training experience.

We have designed our courses to maximise student participation and interaction ensuring participants are fully engaged during the sessions.

We use a range of training styles including:

  • Tutor lead presentations
  • Student pre-reads
  • Online discussions
  • Assessments
  • Research tasks
  • Break out groups
  • Virtual whiteboard

All teaching is led by a subject matter expert with a wealth of training and practical experience, ensuring that concentration and interest are maintained throughout. Courses are available in three levels, ranging from an introduction to advanced levels, and can be delivered across one to five days, dependent on your requirements.

We can adapt to delivery over WebEx, Zoom, Google Meetings and Google Teams.  If an organisation uses another platform, we will use your preferred app.

The students/organisations need to ensure a constant electricity supply and stable broadband connection.  Students need access to a laptop during the course, mobile phones do not provide full functionality. Time zone differences will be catered for so that neither Focus nor the student is learning in the early hours of the morning. Delivery is only in English, so basic understanding is required. It is of lesser importance that students have confidence in conversational English.

Delivery schedules have not been produced at this early stage so interest will be collated, and once sufficient student numbers have been reached a date will be announced.  Organisations wanting in-house delivery will agree on a date with Focus.

We have recently delivered online to:
